Everything Vesuvius – field research on the burning mountain – A guest exhibition in the Max Frisch Archive

Volcanoes like Vesuvius have always frightened and fascinated people. In a guest exhibition in the Max Frisch Archive, the ETH Library is showing works from the collection of old and rare prints on the exploration of Vesuvius since the 17th century. The majority of the exhibits come from the former Immanuel Friedlaender volcano institute, who bequeathed his estate to the ETH Zurich.
