Temples are Hindu places of worship. Hindu temples and Gurdwara in and around Zurich are presented below.
The temples are open for daily visits and have special Pujas on festival days Pongal, Shivaratri, Ugadi, Tamil New Year, Sree Rama Navami, Vara Mahalakshmi, Ganesh Chathurthi, Krishna Janmashtami/ Krishna Jayanthi , Navaratri, Deepawali/Diwali and Ekadesi in Krishna temple, Pradosam in Shiva temple etc. Please check with the individual temples for Pooja details. The temples also have an Annual celebration or Thiruvizha, a week lomg festival of special pujas and colourful processions.
Classes, Lectures, discussions and discourses on Hindu philosophy, Vedanta, Bhagavad Gita etc are offered at many temples. And the priests at the temples are the first point of contacts for performing Pujas and rituals at homes.
Devotees also gather as a group to offer special chants like the Sree Rudram chanting at the Glattbrug Shiva temple, Hanuman Chalisa chanting at the Winterthur Omkarananda Ashram or Krishna temple or for group pujas at the Hinwill temple.

The ISKCON Krishna temple is located on Bus routes 33 and Tram routes 5, 6 close to Klusplatz. The temple is open through the day and has many different Pujas and Artis during the day. The temple conducts many interesting classes, discussions, lectures on Hinduism and Hindu Philosophy especially the Bhagavad Gita. The temple is renowned for its annual Radha Yatra(chariot processions with singing) in summer along the Zurich lake- And the Krishna Janmashtami celebrations when the temple organises a grand celebration of Pujas and Performances by the best Indian dancers and musicians. The Adliswil Murugan temple is located in Adliswil, the closest train stop is Sihlau on the S4 train line. The temple has Lord Subramanya(Murugan) and his wives Valli and Devayani as the main deities. Thai Poosam, Kanda Shashti and other festivals for Lord Murugan, Navaratri, Deepavali and other festival days are celebrated with special fervour.

The Glatbrugg Siva Temple is located in Glatbrugg. The temple celebrates all Hindu festivals including special Pujas monthly for Pradosham and is especially famous for its annual Thiruvizha celebrations.
